The Linn-Mar School Foundation provides grants and financial assistance programs that support Linn-Mar students, educators and educational opportunities throughout the district.

Champions for Kids Grant
The Champions for Kids Grant helps remove financial barriers that may prevent Linn-Mar students from participating in school-sponsored extracurricular activities, athletics, clubs, academic opportunities and other educational experiences. Requests are submitted by Linn-Mar staff members sponsoring students who need assistance.

Enhance Educational Excellence Grant
The Enhance Educational Excellence Grant supports projects that expand educational opportunities for Linn-Mar students through innovative teaching, enriched learning experiences and programs that extend beyond the standard curriculum. Priority is given to projects with broad student impact, including those serving multiple classrooms, grade levels or schools.

Enhance Linn-Mar Educators Grant
Through the continued partnership of Farmers State Bank and the Linn-Mar School Foundation, the Enhance Linn-Mar Educators Grant reimburses eligible Linn-Mar educators for classroom materials they personally purchase to support their students. Educators may receive up to $250 in reimbursement, with $15,000 in total funding available this year.

All available funding for the 2026 grant cycle has been awarded.
Ginger Halverson Inclusivity Grant
The Ginger Halverson Inclusivity Grant supports equipment that helps Linn-Mar students of all abilities participate more fully in physical education and physical activity. Established in memory of longtime Linn-Mar educator Ginger Halverson, the grant reflects her passion for helping students overcome physical limitations and creating opportunities for every student to participate.

Music Connects
Music Connects helps ensure that financial hardship does not prevent Linn-Mar students from participating in band and orchestra. This program provides funding for school-owned instrument purchase and repair, school-owned instrument rental fees, and summer band or orchestra lessons for eligible students. Requests are submitted by authorized Linn-Mar music staff.

Linn-Mar District Holiday Assistance Program
The Linn-Mar District Holiday Assistance Program provides gifts to Linn-Mar students whose families need financial assistance during the holiday season. Authorized Linn-Mar staff may request up to $80 in gifts for each participating student, including an item the student needs and an item the student wants.
