Honoring Farmers State Bank’s Lasting Commitment
For more than 75 years, Farmers State Bank (FSB) has stood beside the Linn-Mar community, not just as a bank, but as a true partner in shaping futures. Since 1948, when Linn-Mar was formed from 17 one-room schoolhouses, FSB has been there, helping classrooms grow from chalkboards and wooden desks to the vibrant, innovative spaces our students learn in today.
Through their sponsorship of the Enhance Linn-Mar Educators Grant, FSB helps to give over $25,000 each year directly to teachers who dream big for their students. Because of FSB, classrooms are filled with new books, tools for hands-on learning, and technology that opens doors of opportunity. These grants aren’t just supplies, they are sparks of inspiration, moments when a student discovers a new passion or feels seen by a teacher who now has the right resource in hand.
The impact doesn’t stop there. FSB’s support is woven into the fabric of Linn-Mar life. They cheer on student organizations, lift up educators with appreciation events, and show up time and again as volunteers. Their presence reminds us that education is a community effort, and that our students are worth every investment.
But perhaps what matters most is the message their generosity sends: our kids matter, our teachers matter, our community matters. With a heritage dating back to the 1920s, FSB’s commitment to Marion goes far beyond banking. They create jobs, foster growth, and give back in ways that ripple through generations.
The Linn-Mar School Foundation extends our deepest gratitude to Farmers State Bank for believing in our students, empowering our teachers, and strengthening our community. Because of FSB, the legacy of educational excellence at Linn-Mar continues to shine brighter every year.
