Educational Resources and Grants for Teachers

The Linn-Mar School Foundation offers teachers and administrators several options to fund programs or needs in their classroom. The foundation also offers district employees the ability to get help for students in need. See below for our grants programs and additional information to apply.

Enhance Linn-Mar Educators Sponsored by FSB (this program is now closed)

This award is directed to educators as a reimbursement for items purchased for the classroom out of their own pocket. Each year an educator is eligible for up to $250 in reimbursement.

Enhance Educational Excellence Grant Program

This grant program funds educational programs at the building level as well as district-wide initiatives. The typical grant request range is $1,500 - $5,000.

Be A Champion 4 Kids

This program helps students pay for academic, athletic, and extracurricular activity fees. Submissions are made by Linn-Mar staff who identify the student in need.

Music Connects

The Music Connects program ensures all students have access to play in the band or orchestra starting in 5th grade. Eligible students select the instrument they want to play and receive summer lessons through Music Connects. Linn-Mar staff are responsible for the submission of these requests. Ginger Halverson Inclusivity Grant

The Ginger Halverson Inclusivity Grant was established with a mission to assist in purchasing equipment to support inclusivity in the Physical Education setting. The family's goal was to have equal opportunity for all students in the Linn-Mar District! Ginger spent 21 years in the Linn-Mar District with a passion of helping our students overcome physical limitations and engage them in physical activity. Apply here
